Apparently, in a Japanese magazine, they've mentioned that there'll be an announcement in next month's issue that Fire Emblem fans should look forward to.
Will this lead to the announcement of a new game? Let's hope so!

Actually, Guest_Lucas, you aren't the only one. I am too. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, it was just to promote some sort of CD for the series in itself. [Not] a new game. Go check IGN if you want to see it for yourselves. They mention it in the Community Thread and in another topic.
Well the next game will be release within 3 years.

I hated shadow dragon we need another gba style game like where every lord and character meets......fire emblem the great encounter..................................................ill look in to that......... that would be a good game! Greil and Hector fighting side by side!
I loved the GBA version, dunno, they were jsut imba, especially Blazing sword.. didnt like the colors of sacred stones, they annoyed me somehow.

I say Radiant Dawn was the best, though they made the final chapters too easy because of the third class skills. I wish there would be a continuation of Radiant Dawn.

I've played The Sacred Stones, And comparing that game to Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn is just sad. The Sacred Stones was way too easy! I beat it in less then a week! It was because there are too many sacred weapons, and supports give critical! More then seventy five percent of the fun is a challenge. And I couldn't stand the graphics, or the battle animations! They looked so bad! I'm sorry, but I believe that The Sacred Stones is by far the worst of the Fire Emblem games.

Does anyone know where I can find the Fire Emblem The Blazing Sword game in new form for not a crazy amount of money? I have been dying to play that game for one main reason! The main reason is because its the one with Lyn in it. From seeing her in Super Smash bros Brawl, and all the people on the internet that love her, I want to know what she's like and her story.

Another reason is because I keep track of my favorite fifty fictional characters, and I show them to my sister. She always complains, "How can you like Lyn so much when you don't even know what kind of character she is?". So please! If you know a way to get this game unopened, let me know! The reason I want it knew, is for the box and manual. I am a Fire Emblem freak, and I'm not afraid to admit it! I would collect almost anything related to Fire Emblem!

It's not that I wouldn't be happy with a remake, but I'd just way rather a whole new story for the Wii.
I have a feeling it won't be a continuation of the Greil series. Path of Radiance had an ending that screamed "yes, there's going to be a sequel" but Radiant Dawn did not.
I think a good idea would be to let you have a custom character. Not really custom stats, but you pick the class, the name, the appearance, and so on from there.

If they indeed make a new fire emblem game, I would like to see it more like 6 and 7. Radiant Dawn was alright, but a bit ridiculous on the storyline. Bonus XP is alright, but I miss arenas. At least it was a challenge. It also helped rake in the money if you indeed used the arena a lot to level, but I digress. I don't speak for all FE fans, but I don't want a sequel to Radiant Dawn. Start fresh, and go a little old school.

Those who say the RD storyline is ridiculous apparently didn't pay all that much attention, or they scrolled through over a quarter, if not more so, of the dialog. Secondly, I think the Arena in Shadow Dragon was completely stupid. If your unit which you send in is going to die if they're too weak or get randomly criticaled. You either run and don't get the gold, or try and keep fighting for the gold and then the unit dies and you lose the gold.

Plus, the BEXP makes you think strategically on who to level up as there isn't enough to be passed around. It's common sense that the weaker units are the ones who need it, and thus can steadily catch up to the stronger ones. Thirdly, if you want to have a sense of familiarity for the series, they should combine both aspects of Eliwood's games with Ike's. Compelling story, well rounded, believeable world/towns/side characters etc.

If Intelligent Systems, or better yet Nintendo, wasn't so busy at beating the dead horse which is Marth's world. If you look at it for what it really is; We could have had a game that was actually worth looking into. Marth lacks depth, characterization and a sense of connection which we like with heroes to have with people.

It's no wonder why I like Sacred Stones, Blazing Sword, Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn better, it was the characters from each of those worlds that pulled me in and bought the story that needed to be told to life. Even if Tellius doesn't get a sequel to close the story (because having Ike's fate left hanging like that really is one thing that irks me), I'd at least like something to match up with FE 7/8/9/10.
That article said that they liked doing a remake, and they may do another. So, the last remake was of Fire Emblem which debuted on NES, which got crossed to handheld. It also features Marth, a playable character in SSB, which would heighten the game's popularity even more.
Thus...I come to my conclusion about a new Fire Emblem game.
Think about it. Would Nintendo go to the trouble of copyrighting the game's name in English just because they wanted some name on the Brawl FE6 Stickers? No. I highly expect the next game to be Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade featuring Roy on the Wii console.

What would be awesome, is if they made a fire emblem game related to the series with Ike, except based on the war with Altina, Soan, and the dragon king. Sorry I can't remember how to spell his name. Using Altina would be awesome! A sword user with the two most powerful swords! Imagine that!
oh i sure hope so!!! Fire Emblem:Radiant Dawn is my all time favorite game. i hope that they make a new one for wii. it kinda sucked that in the end they didnt really give a clip on how everything would end or if there would be a new war. but i would definetly buy it if a new game came out
